They are both going to make you learn where every mechanic in town lives and unless you want to be branded as BORING don't get either since they are both famous for being BORING cars.
Get American or European for quality and safety, Japanese cars are pretty crappy for the most part.
Both sound like fart cannons instead of cool if modified also.|||The Raven works for GM, so I would take that into consideration when deciding if his opinion on Japanese vehicles is really worth anything.
The fact it, the Infiniti is rated very high in overall reliability and also rated the highest in its class in Consumer Reports independent testing, scoring a 95/100.
I own an 09 Infiniti G37x and the only thing that you need to get used to is the 7 speed automatic. I love it, but some people complain about it because there are so many gears that shift during city driving.
If that bothers you, I would suggest looking at the Nissan Altima 3.5 with the CVT transmission. It will also be considerably less expensive to buy and insure.|||I would choose the infiniti g37 over the nissan pathfinder but with a 2yr old a pathfinder might be more practical. Have you ever considered a 07 infiniti fx35 they are around the same price as a 09 g37 and seem to be the best of both worlds for you an infiniti and an suv.
Dont listen to the raven he has no clue what he is talking about.|||I agree with what Jeremy said except one part: Instead of FX35 try EX35 by Infiniti. It has the look of G37, has the performance of G35 and is practical as Pathfinder. One best source for finding the right car is Edmund.com. Go there and read the reviews of the cars. Also go to their Forum and read about other users how much they could get discount and etc.
My choice for you is the EX35 hands down. If you didn't have a 2 yo kid I would say G37 for sure.|||I'd deff. go with the Infiniti G37.
