Why is the Infiniti G37 Coupe so ugly compared to its predecessor?

Why did Nissan change the car's looks? The G35 coupe looks a lot more aggressive and sporty while the G37 Coupe looks like a p***y car. Especially the back grill, and the spoiler looks like crap. Infiniti should remodel it back to the way it was.|||the look of the G37 is a evolution of the new g35 sedan. every couple years a car company will re-due the look of there vehicles. While I personally DO like the look of the new G37 ( and love the horsepower boost ) I do think that the old G35 coupe had classic lines ...|||The infiniti is not on the 350z platform. Its a FRONT MID-SHIP platform. G's came out before the Z. And who is going to buy the same body style in 10 years if Infiniti doesnt change the styling??

|||The G37 has a far more aggressive, "arrow-shaped" more Ferrari-like shape as compared to the boxier, blander, more van-like shape of the G35. Granted, the G35 is great looking, but it isn't nearly as aggressive. It seems like the only people that complain about the redesign are jealous G35 owners.

|||the g37 is much mroe agreesive than its predecessor. thats the reason why made such a cahgne to the older coupe cuz it was agressive ENOUGH. now that they changed it they are giving the 3 series a run for its money. and i agree with Drew. anyone who hates the G37 is either a nazi or owns a g35

|||I don't think that the G37 coupe is ugly. My husband has the G35 and like you he says that his car looks better than the updated version. Nissan/Infiniti had to tweak the bodystyle a bit because it's been 4 years. Most car companies have to make those types of changes. At least they kep the changes to a minimum and it's not too drastic. What was really ugly was the original G35 4-door sedan. That thing was hideous!|||Its a matter of personal preference. Infiniti wanted to target a different demographic with the G37 (women), hence the softer lines. I initially shared your thoughts, but the new style has grown on me, and I see the current car as an evolution.|||I thought the G35 Coupe looks better in the back, but the G37 looks better in the front than the G35 Coupe.


You should see the new Nissan 370z. It is ugly.


It is basically the same shape and design as the current one, but the lights and front bumper are awful.|||Because Nissan wanted to attract more female customers so they softened the lines.





I agree the previous gen. G coupe is better looking.|||its not I think it looks good the g37 is better and not competitor to g35 or 350z they are all basicly same car with different features based on 350z platform competitors includ rx 8 350z s2000 and any other grand touring cars like that|||i own the 04 G coupe..and the back of the g37 looks better..but at night...





the front looks like a normal sedan g35.. :(





the 03-07 coupe's look the best...i can stare at them all day...|||I agree 150% the G35 looked way better than the G37. Im not saying I hate the G37 I'm just saying the G35 looked better.
